Decadent hot chocolate sticks are easy to make and are an absolute crowd pleaser. These hot chocolate sticks make an excellent gift and are budget friendly too. Make it this holidays for your family and friends and amaze them all!!

    WHAT ARE HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

Hot chocolate sticks are an instant version of traditional hot chocolate. No need to measure, mix or cook hot chocolate for that decadent taste anymore. Just mix this hot chocolate sticks into hot milk and you have the richest and the most creamiest hot chocolate you have ever devoured.

WHAT CHOCOLATE TO USE FOR HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

You can use any chocolate of your liking to make these hot chocolate sticks. You can use just one type of chocolate or a combination of chocolates, depending upon your taste. Here are some of my family favorites:

    DARK CHOCOLATE

    MILK CHOCOLATE

    VANILLA WHITE CHOCOLATE

    MILK CHOCOLATE & WHITE CHOCOLATE

    DARK CHOCOLATE & SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE

    DARK CHOCOLATE & CARAMEL CHOCOLATE

WHAT FLAVORS TO USE FOR HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

You can use any flavoring of your choice or have none. Some of the flavoring I use are:

    PURE VANILLA EXTRACT

    PEPPERMINT EXTRACT

WHAT TOPPINGS TO USE FOR HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

You can add toppings of your choice or have none. Some of the toppings that go well with hot chocolate are:

    MARSHMALLOWS

    PEPPERMINT CANDY

    ENGLISH TOFFEE BITS

    CARAMEL BITES

    SPRINKLES

HOW TO MAKE HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

One of the easiest recipe to make, cost effective and heavenly in taste. Pick your favorite chocolate, using a double boiler, melt the chocolate. Once chocolate is completed melted pour this melted chocolate into plastic shot glasses or ice trays, stick a Popsicle stick right in the center. Add any topping of your choice such as marshmallows, crushed peppermint candy, caramel toffee bites, etc.

Let the chocolate firm up completely before taking it out of the shot glasses. Once firm, remove and store it in an air-tight container in a refrigerator for up to a month.

    INSTANT POT HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

Absolutely, love making these hot chocolate sticks in Instant Pot. You could use the stove top for making the same. The double boiler method works just fine in either case.

    EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

    Instant Pot

Glass or steel bowl that sits well on top of your Instant Pot liner

    Whisk or spatula

Plastic shot glasses (disposable) or ice tray

    INSTRUCTIONS

Add 2 cups of water in the inner pot of Instant Pot. Now place a bowl on top of the Instant Pot.

Turn ON Instant Pot on saute mode (more). Add the chocolate chips to a bowl. Mix until all the chocolate has melted, it will take around 4-5 minutes. Turn off Instant Pot.

Stir in extract (optional). Remove the bowl from the heat.

Carefully spoon the melted chocolate into a plastic shot glass. Divide the chocolate equally into six shot glasses.

Tap the shot glass couple of times to get rid of the air bubbles.

Stick a Popsicle stick in the center of each chocolate glass.

Add any toppings of your choice - marshmallows, crushed peppermint candy, caramel bites.

Let the hot chocolate sticks cool completely for around 5-6 hours or overnight.

Once cooled, using scissors make 3-4 slits on top of the shot glass. Peel the plastic gently and remove the chocolate stick.

Store it in an air-tight container in a refrigerator.

Follow the same instructions for the remaining chocolate - milk chocolate, dark chocolate.

    STOVE TOP HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS

Using a double boiler method. Heat a pot filled with water, place a bowl that fits on top of the pot. Add the chocolate, mix until all the chocolate has melted. Rest of the recipe is same as Instant Pot.

HOW TO SERVE HOT CHOCOLATE STICKS
