    • Add all the dry spices, cumin seeds, fresh cilantro and salt to taste. Combine the mixture, to form a soft dough.
    • Divide the dough, into 10 equal portions.
    • Apply some oil onto palms, take portion of a dough, shape it into a patties.
    • Follow instructions for cooking on Stove Top or Air Fryer.

    Instructions for Stove Top:

    • Heat a nonstick fry pan/griddle. On a high to medium heat, drizzle couple of tablespoon of oil, when oil is hot, carefully place the patties.
    • Cook for 3-4 min, when one side turns brown, flip and cook on the other side.
    • Serve Broccoli Potato patties/tikki with some ketchup. Enjoy!

    Notes

    1. The ingredients combine well to form a soft dough. If the dough is too soft to shape into patties, add some bread crumbs. Bread crumbs help absorb extra moisture, thus making the dough workable.
    2. These make excellent make ahead party appetizer recipe also. Make it a day before the party. You can make these into patties shape and pan fry just before your guests arrive. Or simply reheat these the next day, works just fine.
    3. These Broccoli Potato Patties / Broccoli Aloo Tikki make great lunches too. Serve it on a bun and you have veggie Broccoli Potato burger or make a sandwich out of these.
    4.  Steam broccoli for 30-60 secs, it should have some crunch to it.
