Kada or Kadha is an Indian medicinal tea made with Indian spices, simmered to get the most of the nutritional benefits of the spices, I call this a magical tea. I make this Kadha especially during the cold and flu season. Helps me a lot. I find this kadha very soothing, especially when I have cold and sore throat. Temporarily relieves ear ache, sore throat, cough, chest congestion. Simple to make and a very effective home remedy to fight cold. There are many variations you can make this kadha, today I am sharing my recipe for making Kadha, with just the few basic ingredients.

Ingredients:
2 black cardamom
8 cloves 15-20 black peppercorns 1 teaspoon carom seeds / ajwain 2 teaspoon fennel seeds / saunf 2 inch ginger piece, grated Pinch of salt 4 cups water Honey to taste |

Instructions for Instant Pot Cooking:
Step 1: Course ground dry spices.
Step 2: Turn on saute mode. Add water, ground spices, pinch of salt, and grated ginger. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, 3-5 min
Step 3: Switch to slow cook mode for 30 min. Let pressure release naturally, around 10 min. Strain the mixture, add honey to taste. Serve warm. Enjoy!!
Instructions for Pressure Cooker Cooking:
Step 1: Course ground dry spices.
Step 2: On a high heat, in a pressure cooker add water, ground spices, pinch of salt, and grated ginger. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, 3-5 min
Step 3: Close the pressure cooker, after first whistle, lower the heat, and simmer the mixture for 15 min. Let pressure release naturally, around 10 min. Strain the mixture, add honey to taste. Serve warm. Enjoy!!
Instructions for Stove top Cooking:
Step 1: Course ground dry spices.
Step 2: On a high heat, in a pot add water, ground spices, pinch of salt, and grated ginger. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, 3-5 min
Step 3: Cover the pot, lower the heat, and simmer the mixture for 15-20 min, or until mixture is almost reduced to half the quantity. Strain the mixture, add honey to taste. Serve warm. Enjoy!!
