Enjoy the perfect blend of spices in this crispy Raw Banana Fry recipe – a delightful side dish bursting with flavor and texture. Quick, easy, and sure to be a favorite for banana lovers!
Peel and dice the raw bananas. Sprinkle some salt and turmeric on the bananas, and set aside for 10 minutes.
Heat mustard oil until it's smoky. Allow it to cool slightly, then add broken dried chili, cumin seeds, and hing (asafoetida).
Add the prepared bananas to the hot oil. Saute on high heat for a few minutes until they start to develop a golden color.
Add coriander powder, roasted cumin powder, amchur powder, and red chili powder to the sautéed bananas. Mix well to coat the bananas with the spices.
Add a splash of water to the pan, cover it, and let the bananas cook on medium-low heat until they are tender. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once the bananas are cooked, garnish with fresh cilantro (coriander leaves) and (optional) freshly squeezed lemon juice over it for a burst of freshness.
Serve the delicious banana fry hot as a side dish or snack.
